The exhibition team of “New Media Dream” is in charge of planning and keeping all artworks of the on-site display in best condition. To maintain the integrity of the exhibition, the theme will be progressively revealed through the full scope of the design of space and exhibition installations.

The “New Media Gym” is an issue which the mass population nowadays encounters. Throughout the four-year learning experience of New Media Art, the authors’ subjectivity and the presented artworks derive the exhibition theme, which also allows us to introspect into modern life.

Extended from the theme, the exhibition installations are composed of a special entrance, a heartbeat installation, and an aisle in a specific shape. The special entrance is 3 meters in length and requires participants to interact directly with the equipment. When participants enter the heartbeat installation, only those who possess a stable heartbeat are able to read the exhibition statement. By digitalizing the body status, the installation attempts to depict how its statement stands as a translation of the exhibition itself. Lastly, the aisle installation demands participants to adjust their posture to fit in a specific shape to enter the next hall. In order to pass through, the participants are forced into the process of adapting themselves into an adequate shape.

With the design of space and exhibition installations, integrity is enhanced to start a dialogue amongst the exhibited artworks; simultaneously, it intends to trigger communication with the audience. Through the body experience alongside technology and equipment, the exhibition is expected to lead all participants getting into “New Media Gym” inside a “Dream” intertwining rules and imaginations.
