In the real world, people are buried after death, no longer leaving any signs of activity, but it is different in the virtual social networks. We often see deceased celebrities’ Facebook account publish posts, videos or photos. The deceased one’s agent still publishes memorial news and information. Although we’re sure it could not possibly be their own post, the thought that people could leave signs of activity in the virtual world, even after passing away, still leads to a kind of ambivalence and some sense of lament.

Through holding a signing event for the King of Pop - Michael Jackson (who passed away in 2009), also creating a Facebook event, we allow the audience to participate in an activity that could never happen in the real world: let them feel beyond surprise, healing, doubt, the ambivalence and mourning mentioned above. The "social networking era," not only changed the relationships and intimacy between people in real life, it even propelled a subtle change in the relationships between the living and the dead.
